Carolyn L. Baum, age 87 of Moline, died Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at First Covenant Church, Moline. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial is in Colona Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Auxiliary of the R.I. County Historical Society or to First Covenant Church, Moline.
Carolyn was born August 19, 1919 in Moline, the daughter of Carl Edwin and Millie (Eldean) Ecker. She married Don Baum on March 7, 1953 in Moline. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1997.
Carolyn was a graduate of Northern Illinois University in Dekalb. She began her teaching career in a one room schoolhouse in rural Port Byron. She then taught at Bowlesburg School in Silvis and Lincoln Elementary School in Moline. Carolyn and her husband owned and operated the Cinarco Camera Center in Davenport from 1961 to 1983.
Carolyn was a member of First Covenant Church, Moline where she was the former church organist. She was also a member and former auxiliary president of the Rock Island County Historical Society, a member of the Literary Guild, and PEO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter Jennifer Noah.
