Carolyn Ruth Mundt

Carolyn Ruth Mundt, 75, of Davenport, passed away, Thursday, August 20, 2020, at her home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2020, at MGT New Hope Church, Moline.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Hope Foursquare Church or Temple Christian Academy, Moline.

Carolyn was born on September 2, 1944, in Rock Island, the daughter of Carl and Mary Ruth (James) Olmstead.  She married Ronald E. Mundt on September 7, 1963, in Moline.  Carolyn was a registered nurse with former Lutheran Hospital, Moline, then Illini Hospital, Silvis, and she finally retired from Genesis Hospital in 2005.  She was a very active member at MGT New Hope Foursquare where she was a youth pastor, Sunday school teacher, choir member, Deaconess, elder, and kitchen assistant.  Carolyn was a teacher at Temple Christian Academy.  She enjoyed helping those in need especially with her therapy dog “Charlie” at Illini Restorative Care.  Carolyn enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband; children, Donald (Deana) Mundt, Moline, Richard Mundt, Moline; 3 grandchildren, Nick Phillips, Gabby Mundt, and Vinny Mundt; brothers, William Olmstead, Paul (Beckie) Olmstead, and Charles (Joni) Olmstead.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
