Carrie Margaret Hultgren, 87 a lifetime resident of Orion, died April 23, 2006 at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Geneseo.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2006 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the "Ark" at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion. Burial will be in Western Township, Orion. Memorials may be made to the church. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Carrie Margaret was born February 16, 1919 in Orion to Edward J. and Emily M. (Svensson) Bergstrom. She married Carl Hultgren on July 14, 1948 in Orion. He preceded her in death in July of 1967.
Carrie Margaret was a teacher for 47 years for the Orion School District. She retired in 1983.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion where she was President of W.E.L.C.A. and also of her circle in W.E.L.C.A. She was treasurer of Orion Senior Citizens and of the Orion American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
