Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline.  Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017, at the funeral home.  Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2017, at Rosehill Cemetery, Marshalltown, IA.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to the American Diabetes Association.

Carroll was born on December 13, 1942, in State Center, IA, the son of Cecil Maynard and Hattie Riemenschneider Huff.  He married Dolores Jane Eurom on September 22, 1963, in St. Anthony, IA.  He worked for Quad City Kenworth, East Moline State Bank, Rock Island Bank, and Northwest Bank. Carroll was a funny and devoted husband as well as a loving and encouraging father and grandfather.  He was the biggest fan and an avid supporter of his daughters and grandchildren.  He loved to travel and he and his wife were fortunate enough to take his dream trip to Alaska. His dry sarcastic humor, which was inherited by his grandson, will be missed.  His favorite saying was that you are born either good-looking or rich, he got dealt the good-looking card, which his granddaughter carries on.

Survivors include his wife, Dolores Huff; daughters, Kellie Huff and Jodie Eaker; grandchildren, Adam (Sara) Eaker and Taylor (Mitchell Montgomery) Eaker; sisters, Velma Arnold, Cecilia (Don) Nelson, Ruth Davis; his faithful dog, Baxter. He was preceded in death by his parents; Cecil and Hattie Huff; sisters, Mabel Moody, Dorothy “Dottie” Muench, and Doris Davis.

Special thanks to the Quad City Kidney Center, Cardiovascular Medicine, Dr. Brian Cady, and nurse, Crystal.
