Catherine F. Penney, 82 of Silvis died June 6, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 1p.m. Friday, June 9, 2006 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island.
Catherine was born July 25, 1923 in Lansing, IA to Jacob and Elizabeth (Travis) Rieder. She married James F. Penney on June 7, 1942 in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1978.
Catherine washed dishes at Tom Balla's Airport Inn at the Quad City Airport from January 1958 to 1980.
Catherine loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards and eating out.
