Cathy E. Temple, 60 of Coal Valley, died April 27, 2010, at Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus.
Visitation will be 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 30, 2010 at Heritage Church, 4801 44th Street, Rock Island. Per Cathy's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following the church service. Memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
Cathy was born on July 8th, 1949 at Mercer County Hospital, the daughter of Robert and Marilyn Dorothy Mueller. She married Gary Temple on May 14th, 1971 at the First Baptist Church in Aledo.
Cathy began her employment in Human Resources with Illini Hospital and remained there through the transition to Genesis Medical Center. She then worked with all local campuses and left the hospital after 38 years in May of 2009.
Cathy attended Heritage Church, Rock Island. She was a gifted pianist playing for the Music Guild in the 1970's. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, antiquing, shopping and her flowers. She loved traveling not only through the mountains of Colorado but also the annual family fishing trips to Canada. Above all she loved spending time with her family and friends including Rachael & Ruppert and keeping up with their travels.
Survivors include her Husband of 38 years.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Scott Mueller and Little Grandma.
Cathy fought a very courageous battle with breast cancer and her family would like to thank everyone that showed their care and compassion along her journey including; Dr. Dawn Bode and her staff, Dr. Costa Constantinou and his staff, the doctors and nurses of Illini Hospital and all of her friends that cared for her.
