Charles E. Hill, 60, of Moline, died November 16, 2009 at his home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Rock Island County Animal Care and Control or American Cancer Society.
Chuck was born December 30, 1948 in Moline to Roy S.Hill and Molly Brown. He was later raised by his mother and step-father Les Brown.
Chuck worked at the JMTC Joint Munitions Training Center as a welder at the Rock Island Arsenal. He was a Army veteran and an avid Harley rider.
He is survived by Son Chad DeWitte of Rock Island; Brothers Dave (Tracy) Brown of Moline, Ron (Peggy) Hill of Conway, Arkansas; Sisters Margie Preston of Moline, Kay (Glen) Jewell of Indiana; many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Ed Brown.
