Charles McCoy James, 61, of Arizona, formerly of the Quad Cities, died Monday, February 11, 2013, at the Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord, MI.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to his family.
Charles was born on June 16, 1951, in Moline, IL, the son of McCoy L. and Betty A. (Garner) James.
He married Mary Cannon on May 16, 1992 in Park View, IA. Charles worked as a Case IH Benefits Representative for UAW. He was very active in Case Bettendorf Local 858 and the United Way of the Quad Cities. Together, he and Mary retired in 2004 and moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ, where they owned Tanning Bare Salon.
