Charles Lee "Casey" Jones

Charles Lee "Casey" Jones, 56, of Moline, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011 unexpectedly while on a golf trip in Fort Gaines, Georgia.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38 Ave., Moline. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral services. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.
Casey was born September 26, 1954 in Moline, the son of Charles N. and Maxine Bailey Jones. He married Pam Cocquit on May 3, 1975 in Moline.
Casey began his career as an assembler for John Deere and retired as a Union Time Specialist in April of 2005 after 32 years. He was a member of the UAW Local # 865 and the Svithoid Club. He was an avid golfer, organizing many Quad City area golf tournaments and was the secretary of the Thursday Night Golf League at Indian Bluff. He enjoyed watching his favorite teams; the Chicago Bears, White Sox, the Fighting Illini and NASCAR with his friends at Tommy's Bar in Moline. Casey also loved vacationing with his wife and friends in Las Vegas and Florida. Above all he loved spending time with his family, friends and his "little buddy", his grandson Alex.
