Charles Ralph, 82, of Moline, passed away, Thursday, February 18, 2021, at Pleasant View Home, Albert City, IA.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Pleasant View Home, Albert City. In accordance with restrictions, attendees are expected to wear a face mask and observe social distancing.
Charles was born on September 23, 1938, in Shulter, OK, the son of William and Irma (Dell’Antonia) Ralph. He married Loyola “Ann” Strawser on April 6, 1959, in Coldwater, MI. She preceded him in death on December 24, 2008. Charles graduated from Tri-State University, studying chemical engineering. He served his country in the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, he continued serving his country by working for the U.S. Government, most recently at the Rock Island Arsenal until his retirement in 1986. Charles’s hobby was Ham Radio and he especially loved “county hunting” which took him all over the United States.
Survivors include his children, Bill Ralph, Laurie Buckhahn, Cheryl (James Karl) Dichiser; grandchildren, Jennifer Buckhahn, Melissa (Patrick) Cunningham, Christopher Buckhahn, Kathleen Dichiser, Alexander Dichiser and Brian Dichiser.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and grandson, Paul Joseph Parker.
