Charles "Chuck" A. Hanna

Charles “Chuck” A. Hanna, 69, of Moline, passed away, Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at his home.

A memorial visitation will be from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022 and private family inurnment will take place at a later date at the National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by Vietnam Veterans of American Chapter 299. Memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline is assisting the family.

Chuck was born on June 28, 1952, in Moline, the son of Jim and Fern Heegan Hanna.  He married Victoria “Vicki” Freeman on March 31, 1979, in Rock Island.

Chuck was an Air Force vet having served from 71-73.  He was employed with American Air Filter and later with St. Luke’s Hospital as an assistant perfusionist.  Chuck retired from UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island from the cardiac cath lab.  He enjoyed golfing at Indian Bluff. Chuck especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Vicki; sons, Christopher Hanna (Michelle Nehlsen), and Cory Hanna; daughter, Courtney Taylor; granddaughter, Molly Victoria; grandson, Brody; step grandchildren, Madilyn and Caeson; sister, Marsha (Dennis) Boarts and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Mark Hanna and Robyn Hanna.
