Cheryl Ann Meeske, 70, of East Moline, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at Wildwood Church, East Moline. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Burial will be at Greenview Memorials Gardens, East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wildwood Church.
Cheryl was born on June 5, 1948, in Moline, the daughter of Cliff and Ruth (Clauson) Knott. She married Craig A. Meeske on April 6, 1968, at First Baptist Church in Silvis. She graduated from United Township High School and attended the Moline Institute of Commerce. Cheryl taught piano lessons for 27 years, retiring in 2014.
Cheryl loved the Lord and was a member of Wildwood Church where she was active with the worship team as a keyboard player. She enjoyed working with her family on the Meeske Egg Farm and supporting her husband in farming. She enjoyed knitting, puzzles, reading her Bible, and spending time with her grandchildren. She made the best chocolate chip cookies.
Survivors include her husband, Craig; sons, Todd (Amy) Meeske, East Moline, Chad (Sarah) Meeske, Moline; grandchildren, Alexandra, Jacob, Megan, and Haley Meeske; brother, Criss (Sharon) Knott, Coal Valley; sister-in-law, Linda Knott, Naples, FL; brother-in-law, Larry (Lynne) Meeske, Moline; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert Knott, and brother-in-law, Gregory Knott.
