Chlora Ferris Granger, 100, of Rock Island, died Friday, March 4, 2011 at St. Anthony's Continuing Care.
Chlora was born on November 3, 1910 to Tom and Grace Robert Briggs. She married Fred Granger on July 1, 1932 in Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Edgewood Baptist Church, 2704 38th Street, Rock Island. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M., until service time at the church. Graveside service will follow the funeral at 2:30 P.M. at Alpha Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Chlora's name to Edgewood Baptist Church.
Chlora was a life long member of Edgewood Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years.
She and her husband where members of the Holiday Ramblers and enjoyed traveling. In her later years she enjoyed square dancing and was a member of AARP. Chlora loved spending time with her grandchildren by babysitting, reading and playing games with them whenever she was asked. She also spent time traveling with her son and daughter in law on family vacations as well as going out to eat with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Bruce Granger, daughter Grace Granger, brother Max Briggs and sister Bliss Lees.
