Christine Mary Hunter (formerly Reeves Adamson), 63, of Hampton, IL, died Sunday, January 7, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City, IA.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018, from 11:30 – 3:30 p.m. at the River House, 1510 River Drive Moline, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, Christine asked that memorials be made to Gilda’s Club.
Christine was born on January 30, 1954, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Jack and Edith (Caufield) Reeves. She married Lanny Adamson in 1978, in Silvis, IL. She later married Karl Hunter on December 23, 2014, in Hampton, IL. She worked as a registered nurse at Genesis Hospital.
Christine enjoyed her work as a nurse and being able to help others. She was a member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hampton. She was active in the Gilda’s Club and the LiveStrong Program at the YMCA. Christine especially enjoyed being a grandma.
Survivors include her husband, Karl Hunter; children, Laura (Jason) Adamson Small, Arlington, MA, James (Laura) Adamson, Ankeney, IA; step children, Stephanie (Robert) Gillispie, Coralville, IA, Chelsea (Shane) Aidala, Lakewood, CO; 5 grandchildren, Evelyn Adamson, Amanda, Mallory, and Sydney Gillispie, Macie Aidala; sister, Sue Grchan, East Moline, IL; and brother, Steve (Linda) Reeves, White Bear Lake, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and granddaughter, Lillie Aidala.
