Christopher R. Barber, 50, of Davenport, IA, died Thursday, November 07, 2013, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Chris had asked that memorials may be made to Gilda's Club.

Christopher was born on September 21, 1963, in Moline, IL, the son of Richard K. and Gail A. (Stevens) Barber. He married Trudy May Wilson on December 1, 1984, in Moline, IL.

Chris worked as an IT Tech Lead for Unity Point. He was a member of Calvary of the Quad Cities and a Fantasy Football Champion. Chris was a lifelong softball enthusiast and a team player. He received his first baseball and glove as an infant and continued to play until September of 2013. He was also a huge Dodgers and Rams fan. Chris was a wonderful son and brother, loving husband and father, doting Papa, compassionate friend and will be deeply missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harold and Carma Stevens and his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Mary Barber.
