Clara Irene Todd, age 89, formerly of Moline, died Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Silver Cross Nursing Center/Friendship Manor, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Church of Peace - UCC, Rock Island. Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Entombment will be in Rock Island Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Friendship Manor.
Clara was born September 25, 1919 in Pinckneyville, IL, the daughter of A.C. and Mary E. (Zitt) Hubler. She married Orval C. Todd on January 18, 1941 in Pinckneyville. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1999.
Clara was employed as manager and dietician at Moline High School. She was a member of Church of Peace, Rock Island. Clara enjoyed quilting, camping with the Holiday Rambler Camping Association, and volunteering for the local animal shelter. Orval and Clara traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada. She was also an avid Moline High School Basketball fan.
