Clarabelle Fogle, 85, of Moline, IL, died Sunday, September 11, 2016, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
Please join family and friends for a celebration of Clarabelle’s life and memories on Thursday, September 15, 2016, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Private family services will be held and burial will be at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
Clarabelle was born on January 25, 1931, in Carlisle, IN, the daughter of Arch and Gertrude McSparin Banfield. She married Alva “Ernie” Ernest Fogle on October 2, 1948, in Rock Island, IL, and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2014. Clarabelle was a member of the Lioness Club for many years. She was exceptionally devoted to her family.
Claire is survived by her children, Sandra Hamilton of Austin, TX, Debra Hurt of Moline, IL, Timothy (Jennifer) Fogle of Arlington, TX, and Kimberly Pyles of Moline, IL, as well as grandchildren, Amanda, J.D., Brad, Ashley, Tom, Brooke, Ethan, Kelsey, Elise, and Kallista, and great-grandchildren, Peyton, Riley, Nicolette, Caden, Kyleigh and Charlie; brother, Frank Banfield.
Claire now joins her parents, Arch and Gertrude Banfield; loving husband of almost sixty-six years, A. Ernest Fogle; brothers, Orville Banfield, James Banfield, Ervin Banfield, Lawrence Banfield, Leonard Banfield, and Arthur Banfield; sisters, Helen Hicks and Avenelle Bos, in everlasting life.
