Clarence Donald Onderbeke, age 80, of Moline, died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.
Clarence was born August 4, 1931 in Moline, the son of Leopold and Helena Verhagge Onderbeke. He married Sharon Walstrand on March 4, 1955 in Moline. She preceded him in death on January 26, 2002. He then married Dorothy Anderson on March 30, 2003 in Rock Island.
Clarence was employed as a custodian for the Silvis school system, working at Bowlesburg School. He was a New York Yankees fan, and loved attending local high school sporting events. Clarence enjoyed traveling, and working around the house.
