Clifford "Cliff" A. Wales, 57, of Silvis, died June 18, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2009 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family for Amanda's education fund.
Cliff was born November 14, 1951 in Moline to Donald H. and Maxine (Spargo) Wales. He married Sharon Pontillas on June 9, 2009 in Silvis. He had previously married Mary Strabley in 1974 and she preceded him in death in 2005.
Cliff was a machinist specializing in locomotive engineering, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed inventing things, cooking chili, and grilling outdoors. He always honored God, his country and his family.
