Clinton "Bud" Miles Sheesley, 86, of Surprise, AZ, formerly of Moline, IL, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, in Surprise, AZ.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal where Military Honors will be provided by Moline American Legion Post #246.
Clinton was born on March 15, 1926, in Viola, IL, the son of Glen Henry and Ruth Margarette (Cheney) Sheesley. He worked as a barber for 7 years in Orion and then owned C.M. Sheesley Barber Shop in Moline for 30 years. He married Betty J. Johnson and she preceded him in death on May 3, 1975. He later married Barbara Jean Hohenstein. Clinton enjoyed watching Jeopardy and traveling. He loved golfing and the Chicago Cubs. He was the announcer at Cordova Dragway Park for many years.
