Connie B. Lopez, age 87, formerly of Moline, died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Silver Cross Pavilion, Rock Island.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at St Mary's Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline with a rosary at 4 p.m. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital in Baltimore.
Connie was born August 15, 1919 in Silvis, the daughter of Ignacio and Leonara (Martinez) Casillas.
Connie was employed at the John Deere Parts Deptartment in Milan for 39 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moline, where she was also a member of the church's Altar & Rosary Society, and the Heavenly Dusters. Connie was a member of VFW Ladies Auxillary Post # 8890, East Moline. She liked dancing, gardening, cleaning, cooking, sewing and needlepoint. Connie especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
