Cornelious "Neil" C. Boldt, 77, of East Moline, IL, died Sunday, February 14, 2016, at home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2016, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3209 60th Street, Moline. There will be a Rosary at 4 p.m. with a visitation immediately following until 7 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the church. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and private burial of cremains will be at National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church, the food meal site/ food pantry at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Davenport, IA.

Neil was born on November 14, 1938, in Davenport, IA, the son of Clifford and Thelma Murphy Boldt. He was a veteran, having proudly served in the United States Army. Neil married Susan Hartman on November 30, 1963, Davenport, IA, and later married Marsha Hogg Tertipes on September 13, 1985, in Davenport. He was a member of Millwright Local Union 2158, retiring after 45 years of service, where he served as a union conductor.

Neil was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Moline. He was also a member of the Bettendorf American Legion Post 154 and the Moose Lodge in Davenport. Neil was very giving and enjoyed volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. He was also a frequent blood donor for the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center.

Survivors include his loving wife, Marsha; children, Suzanne (Kevin) Eggert, Lincoln, NE, Christine (Stephen) Cross, Solon, IA, Leanne Tertipes, Moline, IL, and David (Jennifer) Tertipes, Coal Valley, IL; 6 grandchildren, Ellen, Abigail, and Nathaniel Cross, Solon, IA, Gabrielle "GiGi" and Eve Tertipes, Coal Valley, IL, and Kayla (Dan) Lerminez, Moline, IL; 2 sisters, Edna (Donald) Tudehope, Sioux City, IA, and Ginger (Jim) Kaucher, Blue Grass, IA; brother, James (Marilyn) Boldt, Davenport, IA; and sister-in-law, Vicki Boldt, Moline, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael G. Boldt; and sister-in-law, Sharon Boldt.
