Craig James Hayes

Craig James Hayes, 63, of Andalusia, died on Dec. 20, 2018, at the Iowa Veterans Hospital in Des Moines.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at the National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal.  Those wishing to attend should meet at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. by 1:15 p.m...  Military rites will be conducted by VVA Post #299 and #669.  Memorials may be made to family.

Craig was born on October 28, 1955 in Rock Island, Illinois the son of James and Juanita Normoyle Hayes.  Craig was a long time over the road truck driver for a number of companies; then went on to drive a cab with Irish Cab Company for over 20 years.  For Craig, work was his life and he was always moving.  He truly enjoyed life and loved his family.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents and his son Kenny.
