Curtis E. Johnson

Curtis E. Johnson, 77 of Reynolds, IL peacefully passed away on September 23, 2006 in Albuquerque, New Mexico with his wife, Alice, at his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Hugo and Louise and his brother, Hugo Junior. Curt is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Alice; his son Curt Jr. and his wife Leslie; his daughter Juanita and her husband Ken; his daughter Angela; his grandchildren Curt III, Jennifer, Ryan, Tina, Samantha, Guy, Courtney, and Brandon; and his sister Eunice Puzzo of Bedford, MA. He is also survived by children of his first marriage Sherry, Debbie, Rick and Rodney.
Curtis was born December 27, 1928 in Woodhull, IL to Earnest Hugo Johnson and Louise Nelson Johnson. Curt was a graduate of Sherrard High School and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He married Alice Hayostek on March 31, 1961.
Curt will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and an overall great guy. His strong work ethic, honesty, wonderful morals and overall wisdom will be remembered by all. Curt has done many things in his life and truly knew the secret of living every day of life to its fullest. Curt enjoyed playing cards, drinking Dr. Pepper, driving and working on his trucks, fishing and loved fresh fruits and vegetables. Papa/Dad we love you and will miss you.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2006 at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Orion, IL. Friends and family are invited to a luncheon immediately following the service at the American Legion in Milan, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his family. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is handling arrangements.
