Cynthia "Cindy" Sue Hampton, 51, of Taylor Ridge, died December 9, 2008 at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf.
Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 12, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave. Moline. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
Cindy was born October 2, 1957 in Davenport to Don and Sue (Bales) Tornquist. She married Larry Hampton in May of 1982 in Mendocino, CA.
Cindy was employed for 20 years for the Rock Island County Sheriffs Department as the head dispatcher. She retired in 1998.
Cindy enjoyed knitting, watching soap operas and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed horse riding and her German Short Hair dogs. She loved Mexican food and was an awesome cook. She loved her grandchildren "babies" and will be dearly missed by everyone.
