Cynthia "Cindy" G Secymore

Cynthia “Cindy” G. Secymore, 65, of Geneseo, IL, died Friday, December 23, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion, IL.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Swedona Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Mayo Clinic Transplant Center.

Cynthia was born on June 14, 1951, the daughter of Mallen F. and Edyth M. Massey Morency.  She married Thomas L. Secymore on September 13, 2004, in Aledo, IL.  She was wonderfully artistic and worked for herself as a ceramics teacher.

Cindy enjoyed the outdoors and going fishing, hunting, and swimming.  She loved sweets and spending time with her dogs.  More than anything, Cindy loved to be with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was truly a loving and giving person as well as an excellent listener.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Secymore, Geneseo, IL; son, Scott (Colleen) Bruckmann, Oswego, IL; daughters, Lisa (Jeremy) Lindburg, Sherrard, IL, and Jennifer (Matt) Carlson, Alpha, IL; grandchildren, Brayden, Brock, and Haisley; brother, Steve (Kathy) Morency, Le Claire, IA; dogs, T.C. and Bruiser.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
