D. Jean Clark

D. Jean Clark, age 82, of Orion, died Friday, June 22, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at the Orion United Methodist Church, Orion. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301-4th St., Orion. Burial is in Western Township Cemetery, Orion, IL. Memorials may be made to the church.
D. Jean was born April 20, 1925 in Springfield, MO, the daughter of Robert E. and Loree (Nye) Merrill. She married Dr. Charles Clark on June 15, 1946 in Ames, IA., where they both attended Iowa State. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1985.
She was a member of the Orion United Methodist Church, and Hope Circle. Community involvement included; 50 year member of the Orion Chapter #93 Order of Eastern Star, past mother advisor of Rainbow Girls, Moline Chapter IS of PEO, the past President of the Orion Junior Woman's Club, Orion Woman's Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, and organizational leader for the Orion Brownies.
D. Jean was a homemaker who also assisted her husband in the veterinary business. She was a life member of the Illinois Veterinary Medical Association Auxiliary and the American Veterinary Medical Association Auxiliary. She enjoyed summers at the family's Lake Warren Cabin for 45 years.
