Dale Loren Peterson

Dale L. Peterson, 72, of Colona, IL, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 22, 2016, at his home surrounded by family.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Calvary Church of the Quad Cities located at 4700 53 Street, Moline, IL.  An informal visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service begins.  Memorials may be made to his family.

Dale was born on August 19, 1943, in Moline, the son of Reuben and Nellie Gustafson Peterson.  He married Janice Ellett on August 31, 1969 in Moline.  A graduate of Alwood High School, he served in the National Guard and farmed property near Woodhull, IL.  He went on to be employed by John Deere having worked at Plow Planter as well as the Harvester Works.  Dale retired as a supervisor in 2001 after 28 years of service.

Dale remained a farmer at heart throughout his life, showcased by his bountiful garden each year. He was an active member of Calvary Church of the Quad Cities.  He also enjoyed bowling, wood working and spending time with his family and his dog, Sam.

Survivors include his loving wife, Janice.
