Darlene D. Ellis, 88 of Moline, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, at Aspen Rehabilitation and Health Care, Silvis.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017, with a visitation one hour prior at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center in Milan.
Darlene was born on July 25, 1929 in Moline, the daughter of Elmer A. and Amy J. (Eaton) Crippen. She married Eldon B. Ellis on May 18, 1949. He preceded her in death.
Darlene received her bachelor degree in nursing from Triton College in Chicago. She had previously been employed as a nurse at Hope Creek Care Center.
Survivors include her daughter Diana (Robert) Wright of Hanover Park, IL, sons Charles Ellis of Sacramento, CA and Eldon Ellis, Jr. of Sycamore, IL; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Fred Ellis and a sister, Dorothy.
