David R. Bailey, 66 of Moline died January 3, 2004 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2004 at Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave.,Moline. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at National Cemetery, Rock Island, with military rites conducted by Moline American Legion Post # 246. Memorials may be made to the National Emphysema Foundation.
David was born February 28, 1937 in Morrison, IL to Rutherford Foster and Leona Mae Snyder Bailey. He married Kathleen Paysen on August 1, 1964 in Clinton, IA.
David was employed as a movie projectionist. He worked earlier at John Deere Plow Planter as a shear operator in the mid 80's. He also owned his own lawncare business. He loved video editing and photography.
David served in the US Army as a PFC (E3) (T) . He received the Army of Occupation Medal in Berlin, Germany.
