David James Erickson, 76 of Orion died September 29, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11am. Monday, October 2, 2006 at Orion United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. Burial will be in Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to Orion United Methodist Church or Orion Fire Department.
David was born May 14, 1930 in Kankakee, IL to Roy and Cora (Brickle) Erickson. He married Donna M. Larson on November 1, 1980 at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
David worked for the U.S. Army Department of Defense as a contract specialist until retiring in 1985. After his retirement he drove a school bus for Orion School District #223.
David was an Army Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Orion United Methodist Church. He was also a current member of American Legion Post # 255 and was formerly a member of the Morris Moose Lodge and Orion Lions Club. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, traveling and socializing with friends.
