David E. Hungate

October 12, 1939 — March 7, 2012

David Hungate, 72, of Moline, IL was taken to the Lord's Home on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. He passed away at Trinity West in Rock Island from a brief illness.
A Masonic Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will then be from 3 to 6 p.m. There will be a Prayer Service and Sharing Time from 6 to 6:30 p.m. A Private Family Burial will take place at Zuma Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.
David was born on October 12, 1939 in Rock Island, IL the son of William Lester and Adah Ruth (Robison) Hungate. He married Jennifer Cole in Hillsdale on March 26, 1966. He was a published poet and a retired supervisor for John Deere Harvester. David was a Masonic Stewart for Lodge 92 in Geneseo. He belonged to the Midwest Writing Center and Colona American Legion Post # 1233. He very much enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and friends. David was a faithful devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a servant of Christ belonging to Green River Methodist Church in Colona, IL.

He was waiting expectantly for his 5th grandchild from David & Dashan.
