Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and the family will hold private services. Memorials may be made to the family. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
David was born on September 9, 1983, in Moline, IL, the son of Darrell R. and Audrey N. Hesser Rankin. He enjoyed computer gaming. David was a fan of the Chicago White Sox, Bulls, and Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include his mother, Audrey Rankin, Moline, IL; brother, Daniel Rankin, Moline, IL; maternal grandmother, Patricia Hesser, Moline, IL; aunts, Diana (John) Hoffman, Moline, IL, and Carolyn Kirby, Moline, IL; uncles, Brian Hesser, Moline, IL, and Dale Jr. (Missy) Hesser, Moline, IL.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dale, Sr. and paternal grandmother, Sally Rankin.
