David Ringier, age 71, of Orion, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 15, 2011 at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. 1301-4th Street, Orion. Visitation is from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to his family for a local ALS Foundation.
David was born February 4, 1940 in Moline, the son of Violet Anderson Ringier. He married Linda Hull on October 13, 1962 in East Moline.
David was employed as a welder for Case IH, retiring in 1991. He also worked for the DeBaillie Brothers. David belonged to the Cornbelt Driftbusters Snowmobile Club in Orion and made many trips up north to ride. He also belonged to the Quad Cities Cruisers Car Club. His pride and joy was a 1968 Mustang. He restored and showed at many car shows and won lots of prize trophies. David was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and NASCAR fan.
