David L. Sands, 56, of Silvis, IL, died Wednesday, February 01, 2017, at Aperion Care, East Moline, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at Oak Knoll in Sterling, IL. Memorials may be made to the family.
David was born on February 9, 1960, in Sterling, IL, the son of Janet C. Betts and step father, Richard K. Shuman. He was self-employed as a carpenter.
David enjoyed the outdoors, especially bass fishing in Table Rock, MO. More than anything, David loved his family and animals.
Survivors include his mother, Janet Shuman, Silvis, IL; 2 daughters, Taylor and Katelyn Sands, Richmond, VA; 2 grandchildren, Brooklyn and Nicholas; brothers, Dallas, (Sherry) Sands, Evansdale, IA, Brad (Kim) Sands, Silvis, IL, and Bryan Sands, Silvis, IL; step sister, Beth (Brian) Usko, Harrisburg, PA; nieces and nephews,
Ryan, Tracey, and Keith.
He was preceded in death by his step father, Richard Shuman.
