David Craig Thomas, 76, of Moline, died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Trinity, Rock Island.
He was born July 22, 1935, was adopted by Hazel and Floyd Thomas of Geneseo. He was employed at Williams and White Co. for 39 years, retiring as Vice President, before owning TriTec Tube for 6 years. Dave had a love of basketball, billiards, fishing and the financial markets. He enjoyed visiting with friends, family, neighbors, classmates from Geneseo High School and keeping an eye out on the neighborhood.
He is survived by his stepbrother and family: Richard (Judith) Franing of Moline, Niece Sara (Hormazd) Sethna, San Diego, CA, Nephew David Franing, Shelby Township, MI and Great Niece Ava Sethna.
Private memorial services to honor his life will be held by his family. Honoring his wishes, the rite of cremation has been accorded. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting. Memorials can be sent to the Geneseo Foundation.
