Dean Litton, 92 of East Moline passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.
A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38 Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time. A graveside service will follow at 3:45 p.m. at the Galva Cemetery where he will be interred in the family plot. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in East Moline where he was a member.
Dean was born on March 8, 1924 in Woodhull, Illinois the son of Isaac and Esther Richter Litton.
Dean graduated from Woodhull High School in 1942 and went on to farm with his father. In 1948 he married Elizabeth “Liz” Ptasnik in Kewanee. He and Liz farmed in the Altona – Woodhull area until he retired in 1985. Upon retirement they moved to the Quad City area and then to the Lighthouse in Silvis and later to Park Vista in East Moline. Dean was president of the trustees of the Woodhull Fire Department for 20 years and was on the Tri. County Ambulance Board.

Dean was preceded in death by his wife; Liz, Son; Gary, brother; Merwyn and daughter-in-law; Kathy Foley.
