Laura Jean DeBaillie, 71, of Orion, died May 26, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2009 with a visitation from 9-11 a.m. at Orion United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Western Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Laura Jean was born September 10, 1937 in Cambridge, IL to James and Blanche (Broline) Kapple. She married Gerald DeBaillie on July 14, 1957 at the Methodist church in Cambridge.
Laura Jean was a homemaker and had worked as a secretary at Orion United Methodist Church, and the Orion Times. Later she helped out at Miller's Florist.
Laura Jean was a member of Orion United Methodist Church where she was apart of the United Methodist Women. She enjoyed cooking, baking and buying things for her grandchildren at yard sales.
