Deborah Denise Morris

December 19, 1954 — March 6, 2012

The Lord has called his Angel, Deborah "Denise" Morris, to come home to be by his side on Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Denise was a devoted wife, loving mother, daughter, and sister who always found the positive in everything. Anyone that has been blessed to know Denise, will miss her unselfish heart, her playful spirit, her generosity, and kind words she had for others. She was definitely a warrior, believed in God, and fought till the end.
Denise was born December 19, 1954, the daughter of Rex and Mary Jewel Ahnen in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. She had an older brother and three younger sisters. She was involved in many groups from school and work and always treasured her friendships with other people. Denise always said that a stranger was just a friend unmet.
Denise graduated from UTHS, class of 1973, and worked at several jobs before retiring from John Deere Horicon Works. She was an avid old movie collector and loved watching silent and old samurai movies. She loved spending time with her children, fishing, cooking, camping, gardening, family cookouts, and her prize mutt, Xenia. She finally found her true love story when she married Richard Morris in 1997. When they were together, you could see the depths of their love for each other.
Denise was preceded in death by her father Rex and brother Rick. She leaves behind her loving, devoted best friend, her husband Rick, her children Trista and Brent (Lindsey) Koehlhoeffer, stepdaughter Adriane Morris, two grandchildren Gage and Evie Koehlhoeffer, her mother Mary Jewel Ahnen, sisters Ava Ahnen-Bybee, Ann (Mark) Danger, Rena (Jeff) Ware, brothers-in-law, Bob, Jack (Susan), & Jim Morris, sister-in-law Linda Barnett, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Denise was an Angel to us here on earth, and now is an Angel with God. There will be a private funeral service for the family and a celebration of life service for everyone at Leisure Time Billiards, 845 Avenue of the Cities, East Moline on Sunday, March 11th from 1pm-4pm. All friends are welcomed and food will be provided.
The family would like to say thank you to Dr. Garneau & staff, 4 South Nurses & staff at Trinity West Hospital, and Susan Alden at the Pain Clinic.
In lieu of flowers, Denise requested that memorials be made to the family for the education of her grandchildren.
