Delores I. Boyd, 85, of Moline, IL, died peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2013, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to the family.

Delores was born on May 19, 1928, in Rock Island, IL, one of 14 children to Arthur and Bertha Hendricks Ferkel. She was raised on the family farm in Joslin and began work with John Deere at the age of 18 and retired after 39 years as a lab technician.

After her retirement, Delores enjoyed dancing and eating out, but truly loved working and relaxing on the family farm.
