Dennis M. Faust, 70 of Moline passed away August 16, 2010 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 20th at First Lutheran Church in Moline. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m., today at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd, 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to his church, First Lutheran in Moline or the Monmouth College Football Program.
Dennis was born on July 7, 1940 in Moline the son of Merritt and Marion Carlstedt Faust. He married Lisa Welling on October 24, 1987 in East Moline.
Dennis retired in 1998 as Assistant State's Attorney where he was chief of the Civil Division. He graduated from Monmouth College and the University of Illinois Law School. He was a lifetime member of First Lutheran Church of Moline where he served as a council member. He was an Army veteran serving with the artillery. Dennis was an avid high school sports fan especially for the Moline Maroons and he enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Survivors include his wife Lisa; daughter Anne of Pittsburgh, PA and son Andrew of Iowa City, IA and an uncle Ellwood Faust of Naples, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Marion and his brother Ronald.
