Dennis Mitchell, 55, of Geneseo, IL, died Thursday, November 01, 2012, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL.
A Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November, 5, 2012, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial of cremains will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Estates. Memorials may be made to Fishers of Men Ministries, P.O. Box 2152, Davenport, IA, 52804.
Dennis was born on February 2, 1957, in Moline, IL, the son of Mary Doeckel-May. He married Susan G. Larson on August 25, 1978 at Homewood Evangelical Church, Moline. For 12 years he worked as a Glazer for East Moline Glass, retiring as a Project Manager. Dennis was an active member of Edgewood Baptist Church where he played in the Praise and Worship Ensemble and took trips with the church motorcycle group. He enjoyed singing and playing bass guitar in his band, The B53s. Above all, Dennis loved spending time with his family and friends.
