Dennis Tallman

Dennis G. Tallman, 72, of East Moline, died on September 14, 2010, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. A visitation will be from 3:00 - 5:00 on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the family. Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded.
Denny was born on November 18th, 1937 in Lanark, Illinois, the son of Harry and Virginia Yeager Tallman. He married Mae L. Schmiedel on July 19th, 1958 in Lanark, Illinois.
Denny retired as a Sales Manager from YMH Torrance and upon retirement began as an Independent Sales Consultant with Washington Equipment. He was a member of the Hampton United Methodist Church. Denny was involved with the Lanark Lions Club and locally was a member of the Stewart Lodge #92 A.F. & A.M., Geneseo and a former member and past master of the Philo Lodge, Port Byron. He served as Vice President and President of the Hampton Elementary School Board. Denny loved singing and in his early years sang with a barbershop quartet. For 30 years Denny drove the tractor for the hay rack ride at Stone's Apple Orchard. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family as well as his new puppy, Sophie.
