Desyl Lenore Lindgren, age 93, of Moline, died Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Trinity, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2010 at Salem Lutheran Church, 1724-15th Street, Moline. Visitation is from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial is at Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church.
Desyl was born September 9, 1917 in Orion, the daughter of Frank and Della (Asplund) Gould. She married Wayne S. Lindgren on February 20, 1940 in Orion. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1995.
Desyl attended Orion schools and graduated from Orion High School and The McGovern School of Cosmetology in Moline. She worked at various beauty shops in Moline. Desyl and Wayne started, owned, and operated the Country Style stores in Moline for thirty-eight years. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Moline.
She is survived by two children, Ronald of Long Beach, CA and Nadyne (Bob) Stockhecke of Moline. Two grandchildren, Laura (James) Lynn of Moline and Tim Stockhecke of Carbondale, IL. Two great-grandchildren Peter and Ellie Lynn of Moline. Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Loretta Norton, and brothers, James Gould and Donald Gould all of Orion.
