Diana Rae Grady, 75, of Rock Island, IL, died Saturday, October 29, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, IA.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2016, at First Evangelical Free Church, 3321 7th Street, in Moline. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Private burial will be at the National Cemetery at the Rock Island Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Evangelical Free Church in Moline. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Diana was born on October 8, 1941, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Lloyd and Stella VanLaningham Sellers. She married Jess Grady on August 5, 1962, in Rock Island, IL. She worked as an accountant and bookkeeper for the United States Navy. She owned her own business, Paper Tole by Diana.
Diana had a passion for genealogy, quilting, and sewing. She had a spirited kinship with her dog, “Brady Keller”. More than anything, Diana loved singing, studying the Bible, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Jess Grady; children, Margaret Ann Ford, John Patrick Michael Grady, and Jessica Rae Grady; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jeffrey.
