Diane Leigh Anderson, 68, of Rock Island, IL, died Sunday, October 26, 2014, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Wild Horse Management No Kill Animal Shelter. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Diane was born on January 27, 1946, in Sturgeon Bay, WI, the daughter of Benjamin Isadore and Clara Pratt Appel. She married William "Bill" Charles Anderson on January 29, 1966, in Sister Bay, WI. She retired from the Sales Department of Schwan's Delivery Services.
Diane was a member of Edwards Congregational Church. She attended Bethel University and Black Hawk College. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and horses.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Anderson; sons, Greg Anderson and his daughter, Katie, and Steve Anderson; sisters, Judith Ann (Roger) Erickson and their 2 sons, Charlene Rice, and Marie (Jerry) Elven and their 1 son; sisters-in-law, Vera Albrecht and her three sons, Fran (Keith) Bergles and their 3 children, and Judy (Bill) Eyring.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
