Dick E. Starkey, 77, of Moline, died December 31, 2009 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Moline after a courageous battle against brain cancer.
Per his wishes there will be no visitation or services. Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. assisted the family.
Dick was born October 7, 1932 in Estherville, IA to Edward and Violet (Lingenfelter) Starkey. He married Doris E. Falk on October 6, 1962. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife Doris; sister Florence Condon of Davenport and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Joe.
The family would like to thank the University of Iowa Neurosurgery Staff and Heartland Healthcare Center, Moline.
