Donald "Big D" Bratton, 73, of Silvis, IL, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL.
Per his wishes there cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Donald was born on August 25, 1939, in Bettendorf, IA, the son of Harold and Dortha (Taylor) Bratton. He married Frances Kannenberg on June 3, 1961, in Rock Island, IL. For 32 years, Donald worked as an Inspector for John Deere Foundry, retiring in 1992. He was a board member of UAW Local 81. Donald loved traveling and western collectables.
