Donald U. Ferrell, 67 of Moline passed away October 21, 2010 at St. Francis OSF Hospital in Peoria.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 25th at Holy Cross Lutheran Church,
4107-21st Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Esterdahl Mortuary and
Crematory, Ltd, 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to an education fund to be established for his grandchildren or to his church, Holy Cross Lutheran.
Donald was born on June 21, 1943 in Rosiclare, IL the son of Ural D. and Melba Kimsey Ferrell. He married Carol Ann Swenson on June 11, 1966 in DeWitt, Iowa.
Donald was employed as a sales account manager for Campbell Soup Company retiring in 2008. He served in the Marine Corps Reserves from 1965 until 1971 and was an active member in the Retired Marine Corps. Reserves. He was an avid fan of the Illini and Packers as well as the St. Louis Cardinals.
Survivors include his wife Carol; sons Sean (Molly) Ferrell of Grayslake, IL and John (Tricia) Ferrell of Hampton, IL; grandchildren Griffin Patrick, McKenzie Anne, Nolan Thomas and August William.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
