Donald G. Hantz, 72, of Moline, IL, died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hampton Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Cancer Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Donald was born on March 5, 1941, in Moline, IL, the son of Abraham and Ruby (Leach) Hantz. He married Shelby Jean Sneed on April 30, 1967, in Aurora, IL, and she preceded him in death on July 10, 2004.
Donald worked as a truck driver for 20 years, retiring from Lafayette County. He retired as President of the CBI Union at Walker Process and was a member of Friends Circle Social Club. Donald enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and going to the auction. He was a Cubs fan and liked to watch the ballgames. Above all, Donald was a devoted father and husband.
